Solvent recyclers enhance HPLC sustainability

19 Nov, 2025

A leading pharmaceutical company is enhancing its lab sustainability with 17 SPR-200 solvent recyclers from Biotech Fluidics, designed to reclaim solvents from HPLC workflows.

The SPR-200 works with most HPLC systems, tracking detector outputs in real time to recover up to 90% of mobile phase. During isocratic runs, the purified solvent is automatically redirected to a dedicated reservoir, ready for reuse.

Standalone and externally powered, the unit avoids potential IT integration issues while providing an intuitive interface via an LED screen and membrane keyboard. Users can easily configure operations, monitor recovery, and generate a full audit trail of reclaimed solvents.

Fritiof Ponten, CEO of Biotech Fluidics, said: “The SPR-200 not only improves the environmental footprint of your lab but also pays for itself quickly by recycling nearly all the solvent used in isocratic HPLC systems.”
